The Appleton™ Mercmaster™ LED Generation 3 is a reliable, full-feature lighting solution in a rugged, corrosion-resistant housing with lumen output options ranging from 3,500 to 20,000. Also available in an Emergency Battery Backup version, it offers 90 or 180 minute modes, providing up to 1450 lumens during emergency lighting. They are cCSAUS rated for Class I, Division 2, Class II, and Class III hazardous locations, marine and wet locations, NEMA 3R, 4 and 4X and are certified for ATEX/IECEx Zone 2 and 21 - 22. Featuring a multitude of customizable options and accessories, these best-in-class LED luminaires achieve unprecedented application versatility and comfort.

  • Typical applications include pulp and paper mills, processing plants, chemical plants, oil refineries, foundries, manufacturing plants, storage areas, waste and sewage treatment, parking garages, and other areas where dust, water, dirt and rough usage are a problem
  • Design is suited for low mounting heights, from 7 ft., up to 30 ft.
  • Standard version: Seven light outputs provide up to 20,000 lumens. LED L70 reported at 60,000 hoursEmergency version: Two light outputs provide up to 5500 lumens in standard mode and 1400 lumens in 90 minute emergency battery backup mode and up to 900 lumens in 180 minute emergency backup mode
  • Choice of optics for optimal light distribution in a variety of applications: Type I, Type III, Type V or Type V Wide
  • Choice of color temperature (CCT): 5000K cool white, 4000K neutral white or 3000K warm white
  • Modular design provides thousands of combinations for maximum versatility: four different globe options for the Standard version (three different globe options for the Emergency version) and seven standard mounting hoods
  • Retrofit adapters for Crouse-Hinds™ Killark, and Mercmaster™ II hoods available
  • Hinge has high lip for added safety during installation and servicing. Hinge and bolt construction assures 360° compression at all points on fixture housing gasket for positive sealing. Swing away design of captive bolt and nut simplifies installation
  • Standard 6 kV surge protection, heavy duty, high temperature silicone gaskets and a rugged housing with superior thermal design translates to long luminaire life
  • Luminaire housing has wiring compartment with terminal block separate for easy wiring access. The standard screw-type terminal block can accept UL/CSA 26-10 AWG wire
  • Standard NPT threads with M20 option on Standard version
  • Field replaceable globes and LED driver
